Well M and I weighed in yesterday morning for week 2 of our at home Biggest Loser competition.
The good news: I won the week!
The bad news: I only lost one pound to win
I really want to/need to step up my game. I need to take full control of what I’m eating, weekends included. We are thinking about moving our weigh in to Fridays but I’m not sure that will really do any good. Here’s what has happened the last few weeks: I lose 2-3 pounds during the week, the weekend rolls around and gain all/nearly all of it back.
The good news: I lost 5 pounds today.
The bad news: That’s because I had Viral Gastreoenteritis. FYI – that’s totally a self diagnosis. I didn’t have a fever so I am pretty sure it wasn’t the flue or cold.
More bad news: I tried to go to the gym today but only lasted 10 minutes on the treadmill (wanted to do 40) and 3 of my 5 NROLW exercises. I went to the gym before I realized that I was sick. The gym, however, solidified that I had to be sick. I don’t quit workouts like that.
And more: I missed work today. If I hadn’t missed work, I would have had to bill 8 hours per weekday, excluding Christmas, until NYE to make my hours. Now, I have to bill 8.7. I can do it, but the next 13 days won’t be pleasant.
The good news: I am 90% sure that I will be able to work tomorrow. See above, for why this is crucial.
The bad news: I am not going to work out tomorrow, even though I really want to. I know that it’s best to just take it easy for at least one more day.
And the last good news: I have book club tomorrow.
The bad news: I do not eat well on book club nights. I will try to counter this tomorrow by eating subway for dinner.
Sorry to hear about you being sick! I hear you on getting in your billables – I am glad to have left that type of work behind! I hope you feel better by tomorrow so you don’t have to cram in even more hours in fewer days.
So sorry about the flu. It’s great for immediate weight loss
but not long term. I can relate to get togethers being difficult food-wise. Have you spoken to your club about the idea of doing a healthier buffet?
