Yes, I’ve been gone.
One of my friends and faithful readers, Nora, asked me the other day whether I had fallen off the bandwagon. I said no. She said good because she was envisioning me sitting on my couch munching on Cheetos. Thankfully, there are no cheetos. Unfortunately though, I think I was wrong and I had fallen off the bandwagon. Here’s what I’ve done since the Half Marathon two weeks ago:
Went to a wedding (and a rehearsal dinner) + consumed a few too many Cranberry and Vodkas:

Went as a witch (see next picture for why) to see Here Come the Mummies (and again consumed a few too many Cranberry and Vodkas):

Dressed up as the Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba) for the benefit of a very cute three-year-old Dorothy:

(yes, I painted my arms, hands, face, and chest green)
Ate out for lunch the majority of the last ten days. Ate a Qdoba burrito.
Overall, for my health, it has not been the best two weeks. Luckily, much of the last two weeks have also been spent discussing with M how we were going to get out of this rut and lose some weight (he wants to lose 30 pounds). The best thing he said to me this week was that he wanted to buy a road bike in March! I’m stoked.
Second best thing that happened was that M bought me my birthday present:

Trainers! More specifically, Cyclops Fluid trainers. I haven’t ridden my bike since my last triathlon and holy smokes I’m out of shape. I’ve ridden it both of the last two days but only for a short period of time.
We’ve had some family issues come up this week so although we are planning to hit the gym tonight, we are planning to really get a kickstart tomorrow. I went grocery shopping yesterday and I have all the makings for a great week of eating in and well. Wish me (us) luck!!
Glad to see you back!
I so want one of those trainers for my house. The stationary bikes just don’t cut it. Lucky you!
