Despite my negative feelings on Thursday, my weigh in yesterday morning showed no change. As much as some people are bothered by no change, I take it to mean that at least when I get to the maintenance stage I’ll be able to maintain. Hehe
Really though, I am not surprised by the lack of a loss. My eating wasn’t great this week. I did work out Sunday – Thursday but three of those five days involved weight lifting which is not as calorie burning, obviously, as cardio, but that’s not going to stop me from continuing NROLW. I really like it so far.
I was supposed to run 10-11 miles today. However, M’s parents wanted to take him shopping for his birthday and they wanted to meet bright and early, so my long run was moved to tomorrow. I’m strongly considering doing it on the treadmill but very afraid I’ll get bored. I really need to get this long run in since the half marathon is two weeks from today! Yikes.
Sorry for that this is a short post. I just don’t have a lot to say today (although I’m also going to be working on some new pages for the website so be sure to check that out). However, I will do my weekly Hot 100 check in. My goals with progress in italics:
- Lose 15 pounds. That’s an average of about a pound a week. As stated above, no progress was made this week. I’m going to start calorie counting next week I think, so hopefully we’ll move this along.
- Limit eating out, both at lunch and at dinner. There is also a direct correlation to this goal and goal number 3. We are doing very well on this actually. We did eat out twice today unfortunately, but the rest of the week was good.
- Work on cleaning up diet – less process, more fruits and veggies. My diet, particularly my lunches, was really light on veggies this week. Going to work on this this week as well.
- Follow my budget and get out of debt (…commercial debt that is. I’d have to win the lottery to pay off my student loans in the next decade). I am doing really well on this. I am becoming a crazy expense tracker and am obsessed with my Excel budget spreadsheet.
It looks like a successful week on almost all accounts. There is no way I could do that run on a treadmill. I find treadmills agonizing; however, I love a good long walk outside.
