Just another weekday.

Started off with my normal breakfast today. Had some grapes for a snack (they were super cheap at the grocery yesterday). I had my normal salad today but cut the pine nuts in half again and added chicken. It was okay but I actually prefer it without chicken. I do think it kept me fuller longer though. I think I’ll try to add turkey to it next time (Friday).

For dinner (after my workout which is discussed below) I was wanting something different so I had an omelet. I wanted the perfect omelet — so I googled perfect omelet and followed these directions. It turned out pretty tasty (although not so great looking :) ). I had spinach, feta, turkey and mushrooms in it.

Even though I had ice cream at work today (free thing from our building management company) I had some more after dinner :) You can never have too much ice cream! Er, I know that probably wasn’t totally wise, but calorie wise I’m okay.

For my workout today, I decided to try out a nice long run outside. I haven’t run outside at all this year except for races and the three training races for the mini marathon. I thought I didn’t like running outside because of the lack of water, but I really enjoyed this run. I ended up running 5 miles in 48:15. I am very very pleased with this run!
