M and I haven’t been sleeping the latest lately so we have decided to start not watching tv or using the computer an hour before bedtime (there’s lots of research out there preaching that), and that hour started 3 minutes ago so I have to make this quick.
I finally got a work out in tonight and it was a great one. I did a 12.5 mile bike ride in 40:03 which was a mph pace! My fastest ride to date. After the ride, I decided to do my second brick of my training so I ran 1.5 miles. Craziest thing ever happened in the first 1/2 mile: instead of my legs feeling like bricks I was running super fast. I ran the first mile in 4:15. I don’t know that I’ve ever run a half mile that fast. I’m not even kidding. I made myself slow down after that and ended up running the 1.5 miles in 14:00 minutes, which still is not too shabby! I’m hoping this means I’ll beat my 5k PR on Saturday when I run.
Food for the last two days has been good. No pictures again (sorry!). I actually might have not eaten enough yesterday. I was starving the whole day.

Today I cut back on my nuts in my salad and increased my calories at my afternoon snack. I was feeling much better after work than I did yesterday so I think this is a better solution. I also have finally figured out (as everyone else has known for a long time) that apples need to be eaten with protein or you end up hungry again in 30 minutes or less.

I agree on the apples. That was my worst workout fuel experiment to date. Talk about roaringly hungry!
