I failed miserably at taking pictures today as I said I was going to yesterday. I will make it a goal tomorrow to take at least 5 blogworthy pictures. This picture taking this has made me realize how hard it is for food bloggers out there who post 3 posts a day full of pictures.
Woke up this morning and got a quick bike ride in. I did this week as a short ride because there’s a lot of training programs that say every three weeks you should sort of taper. I had Garmin issues this morning, so I don’t have totally accurate time or distance but I did approximately 14.5 miles in 50 minutes. The route:
After the bike ride, M and I went to my parents for a cookout. I had requested turkey burgers, so I had one of those, a few pretzels, a few sunchips, and a small serving of potato salad. My parents, who are probably the single worst source for my healthy eating, had bought peanut butter something or other ice cream. They told me to eat it approximately 3 times. I said no 3 times. The good news is that I don’t know what the ice cream tasted like because I didn’t eat it.
After lunch, we came home and I proceeded to crash. I was exhausted and took a two hour nap. I cooked my zucchini rissoto with sun dried tomatoes. I also ate some peanut butter pretzels before dinner and had a skinny cow after dinner.
Not sure on the calorie count for the day, but I don’t think it was terrible.
The best news of the day that is since last Sunday (when I had gained 2 pounds from the previous week — which I don’t think I posted) I have lost 3.5 POUNDS.

Cookouts are really hard, especially when you have food pushers there. Great job on turning down the ice cream.
Congrats on the loss as well – that is super!
