Fantastic day today, despite feeling like I was starving about half way through the afternoon. I combated that by eating a wrap with a smidge of honey mustard on it. It wasn’t good but it satisfied my hunger pains.
For dinner, I made the same risotto that I made last week. It has sundried tomatoes and zucchini in it and it’s fabulous. Tonight I think it was even better than last week. I also have leftovers so I think it’ll be lunch later this week for either M or I.
I did not, as anticipated, make it to the gym this a.m., but I did get both of my cardio workouts in tonight at the gym and I have a huge success to share. First, I did interval training on the treadmill. I warmed up for 5 minutes and then did 4×400 and 4×200, with 3.5 mph walking in between the sprints (walking and sprinting times being equal). All 400 meter sprints were 7.5 mph. My 200 meter sprints were 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 mph. I was really sweating.
After the run, I had an easy 20 minute swim scheduled. I decided I needed to swim the first 500 meters all freestyle since I have had such a hate-hate relationship with my swimming work outs. After the 500 meters (which I did in 11:49), I did six 50 meter sprints alternating between breast stroke and freestyle, and here’s the break through…I did the 3 50 meter free style sprints in under a minute: 59, 58 and 55 – -it was amazing. If you are recall (assuming I even posted it), my fasted 50 meters in freestyle had been more in the 1:05-12 range. I think I finally found my stroke. I also wonder if my warm-up had anything to do with it. All that I know is that it felt great.
I once again did not get a weight lifting session. I think I might alter my weight lifting plan to be three days a week full body. Unfortunately, right now my priority is with the cardio work outs but I know that the weight lifting is important and I need to get in more of the habit of doing it regularly.
Overall, today was a good day.

2) I need to know where you can find almond butter. Apparently, that place is not Walmart because I looked everywhere.
