Overall, I only missed one of my scheduled work outs this week (a swim).
Since I haven’t posted about my work outs for the weekend, I’ll do that first. I ran a 5k on Saturday on the treadmill in 29 minutes. I then lifted lower body. It was a good work out. I was sweating up a storm.
Today I had a long bike ride planned I decided to do it in the evening so that the heat would be less crazy. I ended up riding 25 miles in just shy of an hour and a half. The wind was wicked on the ride but I pushed through. This was my longest ride to date.
Overall this week I biked 46.37 miles in 166 minutes; swam 57 minutes; ran 10.6 miles in 106 minutes; and lifted twice for 40 minutes total for a grand total of 369 minutes of exercise this week. I would have liked to get in the third swim obviously but I’d say this was a good week overall.
I put a few less morning work outs in and am just going to do both in the evening if I don’t wake up in the morning. Sleep is more important for me than for a lot of people and despite all the things about working out in the morning that I like I have to remember how important it is to sleep. With that in mind, here’s the plan for this week:
| Day | Swim | Bike | Run | Lift |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Easy 20 | Intervals 30 | Upper | |
| Tuesday | Intervals 30 | Long 5 miles (a.m.) | Lower | |
| Wednesday | Long 30 (a.m.) | |||
| Thursday | Easy 45 (a.m.) | Run 15 (a.m.) | Full Body | |
| Friday | Intervals 30 | Easy 30 | ||
| Saturday | Full Body | |||
| Sunday | Long 30 miles |
