Day 4, how many times have I restarted counting?

Well I have two problems tonight to post (1) Weber Grill Restaurant does not have nutrition info for their food. I had the Southwestern Chopped Salad with Grilled Shrimp
Red Chili Marinated Jumbo Shrimp with Black Beans, Roasted Sweet Red Peppers, Corn, Queso Fresco Cheese and Serrano Lime Vinaigrette. (that’s from their website). I didn’t have the cheese or the dressing on my salad — but the dressing did have some sort of something on it (although the dressing was clearly on the side — perhaps they put it on the salad and on the side, I dunno). I don’t the salad was too bad for me and I’m pretty sure it was one of the healthiest things on the menu so I’m not sweating about it. (2) I forgot to take pictures of everything I ate today. Sorry!

So I definitely slept in again today and again it was totally worthwhile. I was exhausted still throughout the day and failed on my attempts not to drink diet coke (I had two 10 approximately 8 – 10 ounce diets). I felt 100% better about 30 minutes later. I’m just not sure quitting the diet coke is worthwhile — maybe I should work on a healthy mix of water and diet coke.

Throughout the day I contemplated not working out today because of the exhaustion. However, when I got home M said he was going to go to the gym after we ate so I thought I’d ride my bike (I was supposed to do a brick today but I can’t do that at night because the heat is just too much to run in — yeah I’m a wuss). First I had to change a tire tube (my back tire tube has a slow leak in it which I’m hopefully going to find and patch) and put my aerobars on my bike. These presented a bit of a problem because they take up the space where my Garmin usually goes. Luckily I bought my first biking jersey today which has a pocket on the back of it so I put the Garmin there for now. During the ride I had difficulty with the aerobars. I felt like I really couldn’t steer the bike when I was using them. I think I might have put them too low so I’m going to have to experiment with that.

I ended up riding 10.22 miles in 36:43 which is a 16.7 mph pace. I couldn’t see the Garmin during my ride so it was really hard to gauge how fast I was going. I also couldn’t stop it when I had to stop at intersections, which I usually do if I’m going to have to stop completely. Good ride though as I really liked the route I went tonight. I got started a bit too late though and it was getting pretty dark when I got home. I think I may need to invest in a front light for my bike (I have a back one).

Food for the day was good, despite the snafu with Weber Grill. I won’t do a formal calorie count today because I still have no idea what to guess for that salad.

B: cantaloupe (50) and oatmeal (160)

S: luna bar (180)

L: Weber Grill salad

S: orange juice (80)

D: grapes (100 — while cooking dinner) and Zucchini Risotto with Sun Dried Tomato (368) which is a new recipe I was trying out of the WW cookbook. It was pretty good. I think it could use a little something and I’ll figure that out next time (we have a huge bag of fairly expensive arabito rice to use up — arabito rice is what risotto is made of, which I did not know until I made this recipe).

So sans the salad I had 938 calories. I’m guessing it was at least 400 calorie, so I should be in target.

And P.S. Michael Jackson is dead? crazy business.
