There’s been a little bit of turmoil in my office lately which resulted in me being thrown in a big case at the last minute. I’ve worked a ton in the last three days (hence the lack of blogging). I also haven’t been to the gym. Going tomorrow morning though and turning this train in the right direction. I am not sure I’ll be able to remember all my food but I’ll certainly try.
The bad
2/7/09
B: french toast
L: gobbler paninis
D: steak, potatoes, green green casserole, and cheesecake (at my parents)
2/8/09
B: mini chocolate donuts (yikes)
L: beach club from Jimmy Johns (yes this is completely against my resolution for February but I was at work and had forgot to take a lunch with me — figures I forgot though since I don’t ever work on Sundays)
D: Shrimp Bertollini (M and I really like these, but you have to be very cognizant of the calories when you are the store, we stick to the ones that are less than 400 calories and trust me there are only like 2 of them in that range).
2/9/09
B: oatmeal with almonds
L: salad with honey mustard dressing (delish), hard boiled egg, a little cheese, cucumber, sunflower seeds, and romaine lettuce. Loved the whole thing, looking forward to more of these
D: gobbler panini again (and for the last time for now, we are almost out of all the ingredients now)
2/10/09
B: breakfast sandwich from gas station (on the way to my court, too early to make anything)
L: (this is a weird one) lunchable and chex mix (gas station dinner)
D: chicken bertollini (very good) and chips and salsa
I haven’t worked out since Saturday morning because of the case; however, M and I did join a gym that’s very close to my new house, will be opening very close to M’s house (you can use the membership at any of their locations), and should help me get my butt to the gym more, particularly on the weekends.
The good: I ran the first race in the Mini Marathon Training Series on Saturday morning. M, who hates hates hates waking up early, particularly on the weekend, got out of bed earlier than he does on a weekday to come watch and support me. He’s really freaking fantastic (but don’t tell him that). I didn’t race as well as I could have (i.e., I walked a bit) but I did manage to run the race in just over 30 minutes at 30:19 which is a 9:43 pace. I would say not too shabby AND it smashes the only other 5k I have ever run which I did in 34:39 in July of 2007 (just months after my first Mini). I’m pleased with the run overall. I shouldn’t have walked, and I’ll be better prepared for the 10k, hopefully. I keep saying things are going to get better and really it’s all on my plate. Either are start actually working out more or I gain weight back, no in between. I don’t like the latter so I need to do some butt kicking.
By the way for those interested, M and I still haven’t drank anything and it still feels fantastic.
